NEW SCREEN PRINTS

'Sugar Skull' and 'Frida Kahlo' £120 each

I am very excited to be able to share these 2 new screen prints - 'Frida Kahlo' and 'Sugar Skull'.  They are based on my 'Frida Kahlo' and 'Day of the Dead' lino prints, but these are much larger [approx A2 - 40x53cm] and they have an added surprise GLOW-IN-THE-DARK layer.  They are both in a limited editon of 25.

The art of washing up

I have had some new illustrated tea towels screen printed.  A hot pink TEAt OWL and a jade green hairy tummied bear:

Its been a very busy couple of months, hence not blogging for a while.  I have been working, temporarily as a florist for 2 days a week in my friend's florist.  Whilst it is really lovely to be working with flowers again and being able to 'keep my hand in', it has been a challenge to keep up with orders of my own work, as these two days would normally be studio making time.  So it has been a combination of child-care and floristry by day and every evening beavering away to make work for galleries.  In the last month I have made and delivered 150 pieces of jewellery and 70 lino prints to four new galleries or exhibitions:

Boxed up and ready to go...

After the art trail I had almost sold out of all my jewellery, so I have been beavering away this week to make up orders of jewellery for various shops and galleries.

Today I took a little bundle off to the lovely MAKERS.  Makers is a new gallery/shop in Bristol's creative quarter. Set up by Jo Boyd, Sally Dove, Sarah Salaman and Dora McCormack - all artist/makers in their own right.  The gallery has hand made interiors, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, architectural glass, print making and loads more besides, I am delighted to have been asked to show some of my work along side them and others in their shop.  Check out their blog - makersbristol.blogspot and if you're local go and take a peek at the lovely things they have there.
