Paper Plane is a shop and co-operative group made up of Bristol creatives, Alice Rolfe, Alice Shields, Beth Buss, Sally Haysom, Susie Hampshire, Tiphaine Lecrivain and me, who between us produce ceramics, artist's prints, lamps, jewellery, homewares, clothing, portraits, cards, bags and much more. Located on Gloucester Road in Bristol [UK], which reputedly has the highest number of independent traders on one road in the whole of Europe.
On 1st April 2014 the 7 of us collected the keys to what used to be a travel agent. It was soon to become a place to sell our art. At this stage we didn't even have a shop name, once we settled on the name the hard work began!
It has been a frenzy of designing logos and branding, designing websites and promoting ourselves on social networks, not to mention the make-over that took place in the shop. All this was done in just three weeks.
Our grand opening on 24th April was a great success. I am bursting with pride for all the hard work that everyone has already put in, and excitement for the future of Paper Plane.
